Northern Foodies began in January 2015 as a rambling conversation one lazy Saturday afternoon on how feasible it would be to eat every single burger in the Leeds area. Thankfully, for both ourselves and the burger industry, this was concluded to be a rather silly idea, and instead grew into a slightly more sensible plan for a casual, friendly approach to local food reviewing in the north-west area.
We eat, consider, taste, write and share our honest opinions with you lovely lot. So if you're struggling to find the best takeaway pizza in Leeds, looking for the perfect cheeseboard and beer combo, or just thinking about trying somewhere new, check back for new reviews every week!
Northern Foodies is run by Natalie and John, who have lived together in Leeds since July 2014. They both work in office-type day jobs and spend what little exists of their free time writing, making music, blogging, drinking slightly too much, cooking, playing video games, and chilling at home with their slightly mad cat (Arya). They moved to Leeds from a small seaside town, and a large northern city before that, more or less on a whim if we're being honest, but have since grown to really love living in Yorkshire. They are by no means professional chefs or food experts, and do not claim to be so (Although they do make a mean beef chili. Just saying).
